Updated 24 October 2026. Hoopgauge is a reference site for embroidery machines and sewing machines. You can read it with no account.

Google Analytics 4 is the only visit counter planned for this site. Cloudflare logs the request that fetches the page. Amazon may set cookies only after you follow a link.

When enabled, Google Analytics 4 counts page views on hoopgauge.com and clicks that leave the site for Amazon.

GA4 sets a first-party cookie named _ga, and a second cookie whose name starts with _ga_. Google documents a default life of up to 2 years for the _ga cookie.

The browser sends Google the page URL, the referrer, a rough location, the browser, and the device type. GA4 does not hand us a visitor name, an email address, or a card number.

Cloudflare Pages serves the site. To deliver a page, Cloudflare processes the IP address, the browser type, and the URL requested.

Cloudflare keeps those logs under its own schedule. The host policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Hoopgauge does not keep a second copy.

Some articles link to Amazon with the tag hoopgauge-20, carried as the query parameter tag=hoopgauge-20.

When you follow one, you leave Hoopgauge. Amazon may set its own cookies and record the visit under its Privacy Notice. Your Amazon account, orders, and payment card stay with Amazon.

Product pictures in a slot may load from Amazon. That request carries an IP address to Amazon's servers.

If you email [email protected], we receive the address, the name if one was included, and the message.

We use that mail to reply and to correct the named page. The address is not placed on a mailing list. There is no newsletter. We delete correction mail within 24 months of receipt.

You can ask us to show, correct, or delete mail you sent. Write to [email protected]. We aim to reply within 30 days.

You can block or clear cookies in the browser. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Hoopgauge is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If this policy changes, the date at the top moves.
